Hawkins Point Directions

From New York City/Albany: Take Interstate 87 north to Plattsburgh. Exit onto Route 3 west and turn right onto Route 190/Military Turnpike north (2 miles). Take Route 190 to Route 11 (25 miles). Turn left onto Route 11 and proceed into Malone (30 miles). There, take Route 37 north to the Route 131 exit, marked “Robert Moses State Park/Eisenhower Lock/Power Dam” (30 miles). At Route 131 (across from St. Lawrence Centre mall), turn right and proceed through the Eisenhower Lock tunnel. After the tunnel, take the second right onto Robinson Bay Road and continue for two miles. Turn left onto Hawkins Point Road and follow the entrance road to the visitors center.

From Buffalo/Rochester: Take Interstate 90 east.   Take Interstate 81 north to Watertown, then Route 37 north to Massena (90 miles).  Take State Route 37 east to Route 131 (across from St. Lawrence Centre Mall), turn left and proceed through the Eisenhower Lock tunnel. Then take the second right onto Robinson Bay Road and continue for two miles.  Turn left onto Hawkins Point Road and follow the entrance road to the visitors center.

From Syracuse: Take Interstate 81 north to Watertown, then Route 37 north to Massena (90 miles).  Take State Route 37 east to Route 131 (across from St. Lawrence Centre Mall), turn left and proceed through the Eisenhower Lock tunnel. From downtown Massena:  Take State Route 37 east to Route 131 (across from St. Lawrence Centre Mall), turn left and proceed through the Eisenhower Lock tunnel. Then take the second right onto Robinson Bay Road and continue for two miles.  Turn left onto Hawkins Point Road and follow the entrance road to the visitors center.

Massena Intake Directions

At Route 131 (across from St. Lawrence Centre mall), turn right.  Take first following Route 131 for approximately 6 miles to the Massena Intake.  The boat launch is immediately on your right after you pass the intake.

From Buffalo/Rochester: Take Interstate 90 east.   Take Interstate 81 north to Watertown, then Route 37 north to Massena (90 miles).  Take State Route 37 east to Main St. Drive north through the village on Main St. until it turns into Pontoon Bridge Rd.  At the first stop sign turn left onto Route 131.  Drive through the intake and the launch is on your right. 

From Syracuse: Take Interstate 81 north to Watertown, then Route 37 north to Massena (90 miles).  Take State Route 37 east to Main St.  Drive through the village on Main St. north until it turns into Pontoon Bridge Rd.  At the first stop sign turn left onto Route 131.  Drive through the intake and the launch is on your right. 

From downtown Massena:  Take main st North through the village on Main St. until it turns into Pontoon Bridge Rd.  At the first stop sign turn left onto Route 131.  Drive through the intake and the launch is on your right. 

Wilson Hill Directions

From New York City/Albany: Take Interstate 87 north to Plattsburgh. Exit onto Route 3 west and turn right onto Route 190/Military Turnpike north (2 miles). Take Route 190 to Route 11 (25 miles). Turn left onto Route 11 and proceed into Malone (30 miles). There, take Route 37 north to the Route 131 exit, marked “Robert Moses State Park/Eisenhower Lock/Power Dam” (30 miles). At Route 131 (across from St. Lawrence Centre mall).  Take your second left to continue following Route 131.  At your first Stop Sign make a right to once again continue on Route 131.  stay on Route 131 until you come to the Wilson Hill Causeway Rd.  Make a right and the boat launch is on your immediate right. 

From Buffalo/Rochester: Take Interstate 90 east.   Take Interstate 81 north to Watertown, then Route 37 north to Massena (90 miles).  Take State Route 37 east to Route 131 Just past the Town of Louisville old Elementary School.  Make a right onto Route 131 and travel approximately 4 miles to the Wilson Hill Causeway Rd.  Make a left and the boat launch is on your immediate right.
